New Off-List Prices Announced For UCON™ Hydrolube Fire-Resistant Hydraulic Fluids

Midland, MI - October 01, 2007

The Dow Chemical Company will increase the North American off-list prices of UCON™ Hydrolube Fire-Resistant Hydraulic Fluids effective November 1, 2007, or as contracts allow. The price for all UCON™ Hydrolube concentrates, thickeners, fully formulated fluids and high pressure fluids will increase by US $.02 per pound or US $.18 per gallon. This increase is due to further substantial increases in key raw material costs.

Background

UCON™ Hydrolubes are water-glycol hydraulic fluids used in fire-sensitive applications such as die casting and steel processing. Dow continues to provide value-added support including, Factory Mutual Approvals (FM), fluid performance data and testing, application support for existing fluids, as well as the development of new fluids to meet changing customer and market needs.
