Water-Glycol Fire-Resistant Hydraulic Fluids
UCON™ hydrolubes meet the demand for relatively low-cost, fire-resistant hydraulic fluids. They are balanced formulations of a glycol-water base thickened with a water-soluble UCON™ lubricant. They contain additives to improve lubrication properties and provide resistance to both liquid- and vapor-phase corrosion. UCON™ hydrolubes are tested to the Standard 6930 Flammability Classification of Industrial Fluids and carry the distinction as an “FM Approved” product. Liquid concentrate with a red, slightly hazy, appearance. Must use distilled/deionized water to produce an ISO 46 fluid. Dilution is 57 wt% concentrate to 43 wt% water. |
